Looking back at rockin’ good times in state park summer camps

On this last full day of summer, we’re looking back on the great summer camps at our Summit Environmental Education Center at Haw River State Park. It’s a residential learning experience like no other.

The most popular is Grand Camp where youngsters and grandparents (or other significant adult relatives) can spend a few days exploring nature experiences together. Then there’s Adventure Camp for rising 7th and 8th graders. For younger kids, there’s: Geology: A Rockin’ Good Time; and a camp exploring Amphibians and Reptiles: Hop, Slither and Slime. For information about next year’s camps, call 336-342-6163 or email haw.river@ncdenr.gov.
