On this last full day of summer, we’re looking back on the great summer camps at our Summit Environmental Education Center at Haw River State Park. It’s a residential learning experience like no other.
The most popular is Grand Camp where youngsters and grandparents (or other significant adult relatives) can spend a few days exploring nature experiences together. Then there’s Adventure Camp for rising 7th and 8th graders. For younger kids, there’s: Geology: A Rockin’ Good Time; and a camp exploring Amphibians and Reptiles: Hop, Slither and Slime. For information about next year’s camps, call 336-342-6163 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
